I have been from pillar to post and back again. I have been employed, unemployed, employed, etc. I have gone to ground, changed my name, and now I am emerging out the other side much like a butterfly emerges out of the chrysalis it was.

I at least like to think of myself as a butterfly because the alternative is the moth. Now, there is nothing wrong with a moth. I like moths. There are very beautiful and lovely-looking moths out there. I can hear some of you saying now that the real alternative would be a kind of wormlike creature, but we are not even going to develop a mental image of a wormlike creature, so dun even go there.

I have some friends here. Of course, they won’t know me in this name. One of the advantages of the internet is that nobody freaking knows who you are! And, as K.C and the Sunshine Band said it best:

Yes, I actually gave Deadjournal money to take off those horrendous Suicide Girls from my journal. I have never paid for anything on the net used for blogging ever before. I was totally against it. I just like the service and set up at Deadjournal so much, and it is such a small concern that I thought, ‘Why not?’ Nobody reads it over there. It just sits gathering dust, and it wasn’t even a name I made up myself; I adopted it.

Aww, I’m a proud Deadjournal mum. hahaha!

*I will post this here, where we dun have to deal with ads if we dun like, just so you will know of the trials and tribulations I suffer around the net. This pertains to Deadjournal.

I have put a request in to Deadjournal support about the feasibility of exchanging the Suicide Girls banner up at the top of this site [sometimes it is, anyway] for some other banner. I know the site runs on adverts and that I must have one, but I have several problems with this particular banner: A) It mentions suicide as if it were a great fashion trend. If you come from West Belfast, which has one of the highest suicide rates in the western world due to a decades long war, you dun make light of suicide. B) The girls featured on this garish banner are plug ugly. I’m sorry, but if I have to look at half-naked tattooed women with 3 times the necessary amount of lipstick and eye make-up plastered on their pouty wee faces and with their whole tops falling out of their blouses, I at least want them to be beautiful women and not looking like something the cat dragged in C) It’s a gaudy-coloured flash banner ffs, and it gives me the Pokemon syndrome. Can’t I just have some quiet google ads that just sit there and don’t moonwalk? That’s all I ask. Thank you.

This is what you will end up looking like if you stick sharp pointy objects into your mouth where they have no fucking business being. When you are 40 and have older children, they will not want to introduce you to their friends because they will go away asking themselves what the hell is wrong with your mother’s lip – was it congenital or wat?

Exhibit No. 2:

This is another Suicide girl [the term girl is probably way off as I had a look at their site, and they remind me of aging 35 year olds who still want to act like high schoolers].This one here is the lucky recipient of a Karl Malden nose which she shows off to disadvantage by poking a metal ball through her face and puffing on a fecking fag. Can’t get much more attractive than that. Possibly this is why these girls are headed for the suicide lifestyle.

I managed to find my passwords to my old accounts at Blogger, and then I had to merge them with my accounts at Google, which meant I had to find my accounts at Gmail. It like to made my head explode, but I did it, and then I found my old Blogrolling accounts. Blogrolling.com is still as fabulous as ever for your links list. So I edited my blogroll for the reading for fun list, and there it is over there, and if you would like to be added, just give me a shout, and I will run right over to take a look at you!

The down side to all this is that I meant to go OUT today, but I didna do it. I tried to force myself, but I couldna do it.

So, I have almost completely slipped the surly bonds of real life for the virtual life I lead on the net. I have so many homes on the net, that I really dun need a real gaff. The cats are in the process of packing their little duffles and coming along with me. The wee bird is being a bit recalcitrant about it because she doesna like change, but I think a few more nudges and she will see the light and get her wee bird brain sorted properly.

My only shock comes when I ponder the fact of my real life bills and the rent. I really dun like thinking about how I need another job. I did manage to go apply for 2 nice ones last week. That satisfaction has lasted until the present day, which is terribly close to the 1st, which as we all know begins another lifecycle of fecking bills. *sigh*

There is always something to interfere with my virtual happiness.

I dunno. This is the strangest WordPress blog I have ever had, and I have made many of them. First off, you canny modify the files or your style sheet. What’s up with that?

Secondly, it says you can upload an avatar, but it does not show up on a profile, and in fact I canny find a visible profile. Comments also do not have an avatar. On Blogsome and Blogs.ie, it is totally different. Not only that, but when I stick a pic in this post, it will not allow me to set the ‘hspace’. Bogus!

So anyway, here is Fiona as the world knows her in her more acerbic visage.

I have had this site for yonks–just lolling around doing nothing really. Not earning its keep at all, at all. Now I want to bring it to life, breathe some air into it, turn it into a Lazarus, so to speak, and what does it do? I canny even get the wee pic to show. Then it says I am looking for something that isn’t there. Well, THAT’S the story of me life, eh?

That pic better show up soon.
